The famous Daleshwar Mahadev Temple, which is considered to be the head of Kedarnath, located in Suryavinayak Municipality-8 Sipadol, has become a major destination for foreign and domestic tourists and devotees. On Mondays in Shrawan, Mahashivratri, Akshaya Tritiya, Teej and other festivals, this temple is crowded with 50,000 devotees.
This month, five weeks have fallen on Mondays and today, the fifth and last Monday of the month, more than 60,000 pilgrims have visited Doleshwar on one day. Kiran Thapa, the former senior vice-president of Doleshwar Mahadev Conservation and Development Committee and former ward president of Kedarnath, informed that more than 200,000 people visited Doleshwar this July.
He says that Doleshwar, which is becoming a major destination for domestic and foreign tourists and devotees, is crowded with tourists and devotees from various districts of Nepal, especially from India. In recent years, the arrival of tourists from India and other countries has also increased.
With the belief that a journey to Chardham is not complete without seeing and visiting Doleshwar Mahadev, thousands of Hindus from India come to worship and worship at Doleshwar on various festivals.
