WALING: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said the incumbent government comprising two major political parties would certainly go for three years.
Inaugurating a sports festival organized by Kaligandaki rural municipality of Syangja on Friday, the Minister who is also the government Spokesperson urged one and all not to doubt the sustainability of the government until it meets its goal for achieving prosperity.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will remain in power for the next one and half years and he will be overtaken by Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba, he said.
The two parties agreed to come together to take the country towards the path of prosperity, Gurung reiterated.
The Government Spokesperson added that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's upcoming China visit would focus on the implementation of past agreements. The government does not entertain any debt in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative project during the meeting, he made it clear.
The sports festival featuring football, volleyball, and table tennis race competitions concludes on Sunday. It has been attended by 98 players from seven wards in the municipality. The prizes of the winners range from Rs 500 thousand to Rs 10,000, according to the local government.
