India to provide Rs 44.2m for school building construction in Rupandehi

India has committed to providing Nepal with Rs 44.2 million for constructing a new building for a school in Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-11 of Rupandehi district. 

A new building will be constructed for Naharpur Secondary School with financial assistance from the Government of India. 

Headteacher at the school Dhaneshwar Gautam said, the sub-metropolis will provide 20 per cent of the total expense for the construction of the school building.

On behalf of the Government of India, the Indian Embassy and Butwal Sub-metropolis signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) amid a function in Kathmandu. 

Chief Administrative Officer of the sub-metropolis, Chakrapani Sharma signed the MoU on behalf of the local government.
