Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" has instructed the heads of security agencies to seriously investigate the incident that happened in Gongbu, Kathmandu on Monday afternoon.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Prime Minister called the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers at Singha Darbar and instructed them to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and take action so that all those who have been wronged get proper justice.
The Prime Minister said that “the incident that happened in Gongbu on Monday was taken seriously. When there are incidents of this nature in the capital itself, the state should take the incident seriously. What is the background of the incident, what caused such an unpleasant incident to happen, and who is to blame for it, to investigate everything in depth? The incident of robbery is more serious, punish the culprits and create an environment for those who are victims to get justice as soon as possible."
In the discussion, the heads of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and National Investigation said that even though there was some dispute in the bus park area, they did not anticipate that such an unpleasant incident would happen. In the discussion, they briefed that 33 policemen were injured in the incident, peace and security could not be predicted, there were no human casualties due to the police's precautions and the preliminary investigation showed that the robbery group took advantage of the conflict.
During the discussion, they also informed that a committee has been formed under the leadership of the SSP of Nepal Police to investigate the incident.
Prime Minister's Chief Political Adviser, the Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, the Home Secretary, the Secretary for Peace and Security of the Prime Minister's Office, and heads of security agencies were present in the discussion which was initiated by the Prime Minister.
