A career guidance and employment fair has started in Ratnanagar Municipality of Chitwan. The fair which started on Friday is jointly organized by Ratnanagar Municipality and Bharatpur Metropolitan City.
The fair has been divided into 34 exhibition stalls for employer companies and skill training institutes. The fair has been organized to share about the employment opportunities and to arrange necessary training for the youth who want to harness their potential and become entrepreneurs.
Speaking during the inauguration, Mayor of Ratnanagar Municipality, Prahlad Sapkota, said that the Municipality is working hard to create employment opportunities for the youth in the municipality.
Helvetas Nepal is providing technical support for the job-oriented training programmes to be initiated by the municipality.
Likewise, Deputy Mayor Yadav Prasad Pathak said people with skills but without jobs can benefit from the fair while there will be opportunities for people to acquire skills as well.
The fair is expected to be a milestone in creating employment opportunities with direct interaction between job seekers and job providers.
