Jumla administration instructed to hand over weapons

The District Administration Office, Jumla has directed to hand over the licensed weapons. The administration has been directed to hand over all the licensed weapons to conduct the local level election on April 12 in a peaceful and fearless atmosphere.

Chief District Officer Vijayakumari Prasai said that the administration has issued a public notice to hand over arms to the nearest police office within a month. According to him, the weapons handed over to the police officer will be kept safe and will be returned to the concerned rich people after the election.

The administration has informed that if any of them are carrying unlicensed stuff and air guns, they should be handed over to the nearest police office by April 7. The administration has stated that the weapons of such persons will be searched and action will be taken according to the law if they are found to have disobeyed within the stipulated time.
