Lockdown extended for seven days in Doti

Doti announced extension of the present lockdown by seven days as the risk of Covid-19 remains high in in the district. A meeting of the District Covid Crisis Management Center on Sunday decided to extend the ban from last April to July 8 as per the suggestion of the health workers as the infection spreads on the way to and from various cities in neighboring country, India. This is the ninth time the ban has been extended in the district.

Acting Chief District Officer, Kiran Joshi informed that legal action would be taken against the person violating the injunction except for urgent work.  The center has decided to operate internal public transport, open shops from 6 am to 8 pm and allow banks and financial institutions to operate every day from 10 am to 1 pm following health standards.

While, the development works and the means of transportation used in them will be able to operate according to the standards, hotels, restaurants, salons, beauty parlors, gym halls and any crowded events will not be allowed during the ban.

The number of active corona infections in the district has reached more than 1,400 and 11 people have lost their lives so far.
