The policy and programs presented by the Lumbini province government have been passed by a majority of the Provincial Assembly.
The policy and program were passed by the majority of the assembly in the 10th meeting held on Tuesday. Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, on behalf of the provincial government, tabled a proposal seeking passage of the policy and programs for the financial year 2080/81.
Speaker Tularam Gharti presented the government's proposal for a decision before the assembly, and it was passed based on a voice vote.
Earlier, the ruling MPs defended the policy and programs while members of opposition parties criticized them.
In today's meeting, five provincial members registered amendment proposals to the government's policy and programs, which were rejected by a majority.
Also at the meeting today, Minister for Economic Affairs Dhan Bahadur Maski presented the economic survey of the financial year 2079/80.
The 11th meeting of the Provincial Assembly will be held at 3:00 pm on June 16.
