Chairperson of the National Innovation Centre Mahabir Pun is going to be honored with 'Gandaki Ratna Award' for his contribution to the development of the Science and Technology sector of the country.
A Cabinet meeting of the Province took the decision to honor the Ramon Magsaysay Award winner with the award.
The award, the biggest one in the province, would be presented to Chair Pun amid a function to be organized on coming Wednesday on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the provincial government, said Spokesperson of Gandaki province government, Kumar Khadka.
Pun has contributed immensely to the expansion of wireless internet in rural areas of the country.
