A man committed ‘suicide‘ by shooting his nephew in Gauradah Municipality-8 of Jhapa.

According to District Police Office, Jhapa, 35-year-old Jeevan Shah died in the incident. Jhapa Police Chief SP Bishwamani Pokharel told Online Khabar that he himself may have shot Kanchat.

Before this, Shah shot his 15-year-old nephew Hemraj. He is being treated at Windsea Hospital in Virtamod.

The deceased Shah is a retired employee of the Armed Police Force.

It is seen that he fired from a ‘hand made’ pistol. Shah was found in a serious condition under a tent on the bank of Geuria river, 50 Peters north of where his nephew was shot.

According to the police, 3 rounds of bullets were recovered from the pistol found with him. The police said that 11 bullets were also found in the bullet.

It is suspected that there may be a family dispute between them. The local police office, Damak has started a detailed investigation into this.
