Police arrested a man who had been convicted of banking offences and was absconding from Nepalganj Sub-Metropolitan-18 on Sunday.
The arrested has been identified as Mahendra Lohar (35), a local resident of Tikapur in Kailali district.
Banke District Court had convicted Lohar of banking offences and fined him Rs 1.125 million along with a sentence of 8 days imprisonment on January 8, 2020.
Security personnel deployed from the Banke-based District Police Office (DPO) nabbed him.
Further action and investigation into the matter are underway, informed DPO, Banke.
