Officials of the Chitwan National Park have taken under control a man eater tiger from Kumroj buffer zone community forest in the eastern Chitwan.

Park’s Information Officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari said the tiger was caged after it killed a person on May 1. The officials were making efforts to cage the tiger for long but this time the tiger was taken under control by mobilizing additional forces. The tiger of around 10 years is caged at the premises of the Sauraha-based National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) office.

Tiwari shared that further decisions would be taken after observing the man eater tiger for some days.

According to Tiwari, as high as 12 persons lost their lives in the past one year from tigers’ attacks in the national park and forest areas.
