A man was found dead in Phakphokthum in Ilam district on Monday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Daan Bahadur Tamang (58) of Golegaun in Phakphokthum-2.

The locals informed the police after seeing Tamang’s body in Putalikharka in Phakphokthum-2, said the District Police Office (DPO), Ilam.

The case is being investigated by the Ektappa-based Area Police team but the cause of the death has not been ascertained.

The body has been sent to Ilam-based District Hospital for autopsy and further investigation into the case is underway, informed DPO, Ilam.
