Manakamana cable car in regular operation

Nepal's first cable car Manakamana cable car has come into regular operation. The cable car service was suspended for four days from Sunday due to maintenance of the gearbox and tower during the upgrade.

According to Ujjwal Sherchan, Deputy General Manager of Manakamana Darshan Pvt. He said that the cable car service has been brought back to regular operation from today after the completion of maintenance.

The cable car is in the upgrade phase. The company plans to upgrade the analog connect system used in cable cars to digital systems. The company has stated that it is planning to take the cable car to new technology from the current fiscal year.
