The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted heavy rainfall in three provinces with general cloudy condition across the country today, due to impact of monsoon wind. Monsoon trough remains closer to the average location which suggests heavy rain at some places.
The monsoon system is likely to move down from its average position and this will increase the scale of rain. According to meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar, monsoon has not yet ended in the country; there are chances of light to moderate rains ahead.
Light rainfall is taking place at some places of Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Likewise, heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight, it will generally be cloudy across the country and light to moderate thunder shower has been predicted at some places and heavy rain is likely at one or two places of the Bagmati Province.
According to the Division’s latest weather information, the maximum temperature is measured at 19.6 degrees Celsius today followed by 29.8 degrees Celsius and Jumla reports the lowest temperature 15.5 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, Dipayal Silgadhi reports the highest 35.0 degree Celsius across the country today.
