Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transportation Prakash Jwala requested not to doubt the implementation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) projects decided by the sovereign parliament and the government.
Minister Jwala requested Alice Albright, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of the American aid project MCC and the delegation led by her during the courtesy meeting paid by the visiting MCC delegation at the former's office on Monday.
It may be noted that Albright arrived in Nepal last Sunday on a five-day visit to celebrate the successful launch of the MCC-Nepal Compact.
"The government of Nepal as well as the sovereign parliament has endorsed the MCC project. The government of Nepal will leave no stone unturned for the successful implementation of the MCC project," assured Minister Jwala to the visiting delegation.
There are some problems in the project, but if the project starts timely, part of the problems will be solved automatically, the Minister added.
Furthermore, the Minister admitted that there were some problems regarding the MCC project but the issues would be resolved with the implementation of the project in the passage of time.
Similarly, CEO Albright shared her happiness that the MCC project was being implemented smoothly. "I have arrived in Nepal during the implementation of the MCC project. I am delighted to see the positive attitude of the government of Nepal towards it."
Present in the meeting were Keshav Kumar Sharma, secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Dean Thompson, American Ambassador to Nepal among others.
