Kathmandu: A youth from Gorkha who had been missing for five days has been found dead in Tanahun.

The body of 30-year-old Rahul Kumal from Naukhil village, Gorkha, was discovered today in the Marsyangdi River at Aubukhaireni Rural Municipality-2.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Thapa from the District Police Office, Kumal, who worked at the Aina Hotel in Eklefat, had been missing since March 18.

A search operation led by the Armed Police Force, Manakamana Battalion, resulted in the discovery of his body.

The circumstances surrounding Kumal’s disappearance and death are currently under investigation.
