This year's monsoon has entered four states. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, the monsoon has entered Province No. 1, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki.
The monsoon is expected to enter the rest of the country in a few days. This year's monsoon had entered the eastern part of Nepal before the average date. The average date of onset of monsoon in Nepal is 13th of June.
The monsoon enters from the eastern part of the country and gradually extends to the west. The four-month period from June to September is called the monsoon period in the South Asian region. In the afternoon, the weather will be generally clear in the hilly areas of the country including Province 1, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in Province 1, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki and light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in hilly areas of other states.
