Chairperson of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, met Chinese leaders in Shanghai.
The Chairperson of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee in Shanghai, Dong Yunhu paid a courtesy call on visiting NA Chairperson Timilsina on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Timilsina viewed Nepal could learn a lot from the development of Shanghai, China's industrial city. He said if direct flights are ensured from Kathmandu and Pokhara to Shanghai, it would contribute to Nepal's development.
He also shared that Pokhara Metropolitan City was willing to establish sisterly relations with Shanghai City.
During the meeting, Shanghai Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee Chairman Dong stated that Shanghai is the largest economic hub of China and it helps to foster relations between China and Nepal, thereby promoting assistance in sectors of economy, culture, tourism, and livelihood.
