Nepali Congress senior leader Ramchandra Paudel has announced that he will contest the election from Tanahun-1. Poudel, who arrived at Damauli in his home district Tanahun, has announced that he will be a candidate for the House of Representatives from Tanahun in the elections to be held on November 4.

Senior leader Paudel said that he has already spoken to the central member representing Tanahun in the Nepali Congress, the district chairman, and other leaders of the party, "We have reached an agreement with all the leaders about this, we will formalize it after some time."

On the question of how CPN (Unified Socialist) Party has taken the issue of Tanahun-1 claim, senior leader Paudel clarified that since he himself will contest the election from here, their claim will not be accepted. "I am the leader of the current alliance. Since I will contest by myself, their claim will not be accepted", Paudel said, "Since the candidate of the said party has already said that senior leader Paudel will contest the election, I do not care, Madhav Nepal and I have already told you to make another arrangement for me."

Paudel said that during the expansion of the Prithviraj Highway, Paudel had taken initiatives to protect the Ghasikuwa Park and the well in Vyas-12 Ghasikuva. He said that since the Ghasikuwa Park and the well will be destroyed during the expansion of the highway, the local residents have requested him to take initiative for its protection.

"I have said that the park should be expanded further and a big statue of grass should be made, the park and the well should be protected and the highway should be expanded by breaking the wall at the corner", he said.
