NC should assume leadership: Leader Singh

Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakashman Singh has asserted that its high time NC should hold the reign of the leadership in the country.

On the first memorial day of freedom fighter Late Surya Prasad Regmi at Waling of Syangja district on Friday, leader Singh reminisced that NC had been assuming leadership during the tough times and navigating the country through the crisis.

The former Deputy Prime Minister also opined that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli should tender his resignation on the basis of morality and NC should focus on providing an appropriate outlet to the crisis plaguing the country.

He also lauded the contributions of late Regmi to keep alive the ideologies of the NC that he said would be ‘memorable’ to the party.

Furthermore, Singh said that new leadership to be elected from the upcoming 14th national convention of the NC would further consolidate and unify the party.

A monumental building would be built in memory of the late Regmi. A piece of land was donated by the Regmi’s family for the same at Simalchaurpari in Waling-2 in the district. Leader Singh laid the foundation stone for the building.
