Nepali Congress has urged the government to facilitate the import of medical supplies via air route. The party has made this appeal as medicines and other medical equipment that were purchased by Nepali businesses have been stranded at various airports in China.
Chief whip of Nepali Congress, Balkrishna Khand, issued a statement today urging the government to do the needful to import the medicines and equipment from China.
He mentioned that as the country has been witnessing an increase in the number of people being infected and dying due to COVID-19, the government should make sure that the country does not face a shortage of any medical supplies.
