Nembang, a leader who could break difficult deadlocks

The top leaders of various political parties have said that CPN (UML) Vice-Chairperson late Subash Chandra Nembang's absence would always be felt.

The top leaders who reached Chyasal-based party office in Lalitpur on Tuesday to pay tributes to the mortal remains of Nembang said that the demise of Nembang incurred irreparable loss to Nepali politics.

CPN (UML) Vice-Chairperson Nembang who was elected member of House of Representative from Ilam constituency no 2 passed away today due to cardiac arrest. He was 71. He served as a Chairperson of the Constituent Assembly and was former Speaker.

CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal said that Nembang was a leader who led to brave the odds or to tide over difficult times and thus his contribution would be always remembered.

Nepal viewed that the new generation should move ahead taking inspiration from late Nembang. "He was a leader of simple and clean image. He wished for good-governance in the country. He was very concerned and enthusiastic about implementation of constitution apart from its implementation," Nepal said recalling Nembang.

Nepal, also former Prime Minister, said that Nembang firmly held the viewpoint that we should always create an environment of consensus and understanding in politics and his death had incurred a huge loss to entire democratic movement, communist movement and movements for change.

Furthermore, Nepal assessed that Nembang's ability in promulgation of constitution and running the House was exemplary."Very few persons possesses the capability of Nembang who delivered exceptionally well in promulgation and management of constitution. He was friendly, decent, patient, soft-spoken and tolerant as well as he had ability to convince anyone."

He shared that he was with Nembang in the same government in year 2051 BS and commended late Nembang as a good human being, democratic fighter and pride of communist party.

Similarly, Nepali Congress's leader Minendra Rijal viewed that late leader Nembang's absence would be felt in the current's uncomfortable situation in Nepali politics.

According to him, late Nembang would always put on a smile even at a difficult juncture of time and would ask how could they move ahead together. He said that he would always look out for Nembang in every difficulty.

CPN(Maoist Centre) leader Barsha Man Pun said that late Nembang was a balanced and matured leader. He could bring together all political leaders at the hour of national crisis.
