Nepal reports 347 new COVID cases today

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Saturday confirmed the detection of 347 new cases of coronavirus infection. Out of which, 44 people have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in the antigen test. With this, the total positive COVID count has reached 141,492 (Antigen).

Likewise, the MoHP has recorded 2 new deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The ministry on May 19, 2021, recorded 184 deaths, the highest daily number. As of Friday, the nationwide death toll from COVID-19 has reached 11,956. Presently, there are 3,177 active cases in Nepal.

Meanwhile, 95 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. As of Saturday, a total of 968,489 people have recovered from the viral disease, the data released by the MoHP showed. Presently, the recovery rate stands at 98.5 percent while the fatality rate is 1.2 percent.
