Renuka Lama, who is from Nepal, has won the post of councilor of Marion Council of South Australia from Kurundanga Ward.
In the counting of votes, Lama won with 1204 votes. Lama was the first in the election system where two people are chosen. Telfer, who was elected second, received 1,165 votes. Telfer has been a councilor for 29 years.
