One person died in a jeep accident that took place this afternoon in Mangala Rural Municipality-2 Kafalgaur of Myagdi. District Police Office Myagdi reported that seven people were injured when a Bolero jeep bearing No. G 1 J 6938, which was coming from Thaiwang towards Beni, had an accident.
Police Inspector Rajan Dhakal informed that 60-year-old Faumaya Garbuja of Mangala-1 died during treatment at Beni Hospital. According to him, the injured 34-year-old Santu KC of Mangala-2, 10-year-old Siwani KC, and five-year-old Riwan KC have been sent to Pokhara for further treatment.
15-year-old Babina Pariyar of Mangala-1 has been sent home after treatment, while 22-year-old Vipana Karki of Mangala-2, 38-year-old Tej Bahadur Garbuja of Mangala-1, 50-year-old Bhumikala of Mangala-2 are being treated at Beni Hospital in Nepali.
The accident happened when the jeep overturned on the road. Police inspector Dhakal said that the jeep driver was taken into custody and the investigation started.
