The bodies of 25 people who lost their lives in the plane crash on Sunday have been brought to Kathmandu.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the body was recently brought by the Mi-17 helicopter of the Nepali army.

The remaining 23 bodies are about to arrive in Kathmandu by another helicopter. 22 of the 70 dead bodies found in the accident have been identified and arrangements have been made to hand them over to their relatives in Pokhara, according to CAAN.

CAAN spokesperson Jagannath Niraula informed that the army helicopter carrying the body has landed at Tribhuvan International Airport. Initially, preparations are being made to land the helicopter at the Teaching Hospital, Maharajganj, but they were unable to land there, so it landed again at the airport. Spokesman Niraula said that the body will be taken from the airport to the teaching hospital and will be handed over to the relatives after the examination. The same helicopter will go to Pokhara to pick up more bodies.

The search for the missing persons in the accident has started since the morning. The Nepali Army, Nepal Police Armed Police Force, and a team including divers are conducting search operations.
