Policy and programs of Madhes province tabled

The Madhes province government has presented its policies and programs for the new financial year. Chief of Madhes Province, Harishankar Mishra, presented the policy and programs of Madhes Province Government for the year 2080/81 in the meeting of the Madhes Province Assembly on tuesday. The Madhes province government has laid emphasis on the development of agriculture, education, industry, tourism as well as physical infrastructure. Under agriculture, emphasis has been placed on irrigation, mechanization, advanced technology as well as processing and marketing of agricultural products for the overall development of the agricultural sector. Likewise, a Chure Conservation and Management Act shall be formulated for the implementation of the Cure conservation and management system in accordance with the integrated system for the effective protection of Chure. Necessary laws and regulations will be formulated and implemented to manage river products such as sand, gravel, crusher industry within the province. Dhanushadham Protected Forest will be developed as a biological park and wildlife rescue center as the pride project of the province. In addition to the implementation of the Chief Minister Door to Door health service program, arrangements will be made for free eye, dental and ear health examination for citizens above 60 years of age. Likewise, improved stoves will be distributed through the local level for the poor, Dalit and marginalized families, while the 'one family, one electric stove' program will be implemented for the underprivileged families where power connections are available. This time the province government will disburse grants to the schools itself for distribution of bicycles to Grade 8 girl students while laptops will be presented to Grade 12 girl students to attract them towards computer education.
