Leaders of the Democratic Socialist Party (LSP) have met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and reminded him of their demands.
A delegation of LOSP led by LSP Chairman Mahanta Thakur at the PM's residence in Baluwatar today drew attention to the 11-point memorandum submitted on June 7.
LSP leader Laxman Lal Karna informed that the meeting was held as a follow-up to the demand submitted to the Prime Minister recently. In response, Prime Minister Deuba promised to address the demands of the Lok Sabha as soon as the appropriation bill for the fiscal year 2022/23 is passed by the parliament, said Karna. "We (LOSPA) have met as a follow-up to the memorandum submitted to the prime minister. They have said that the demand will be addressed after the budget," said Karna.
LOSPA had submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister demanding that citizenship should be granted to the children of born citizens and return the cases of its leaders and cadres. Accompanied by Chairman Thakur, leaders including Rajendra Mahato, Sarat Singh Bhandari and Karna reached Baluwatar.
