The local administration in Siraha has issued a restraining order till Wednesday after the Janamat Party continued the general strike causing traffic jams for the past few days on East-West Highway.
Chief District Officer Lal Babu Kawari informed that a restraining order has been issued for two days from 5 am to 7 pm. Chief District Officer Kabari said that the curfew has been issued up to 500 meters north-south of Balan Khola in the east, Kamala river in the west and north-south of the highway, from Choharwa to PK Raj Enterprises (petrol pump) of Siraha road section and around 500 meters east-west of the road.
As per the notice that prohibition has been issued in accordance with Article 6-2) and-3) of the Local Administration Act 2028 to prevent any kind of gathering, walking outside, political meeting, and activities in the specified area.
People who go against the notice will be taken under control and necessary legal action will be taken.
