District Administration Office, Sindhuli has issued a restraining order in the stall market area of Kamalamai Municipality. According to the office, a ban has been issued on the unveiling of the statues of BP Koirala and Pushpalal Shrestha at the district headquarter, Sindhulimadhi after tensions escalated between the ruling coalition parties and the CPN-UML over the issue of chief guest.
The restraining order had been ordered in the area of Stal Bazaar, Junar Chowk, Bus Park, Gwankhola Bridge and Hospital Road of Kamalamai Municipality from 11 am to 12 noon today. According to the DAO, the injunction has been issued in accordance with the recommendation of the District Security Committee, Sindhuli and Sub-section 3A of Section 6 of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS. Chief District Officer Ramesh Neupane informed that no gatherings, ceremonies or processions could be held in the restricted area.
