Citing that the coronavirus infection rate has been rising, Damak Municipality has decided to impose a prohibitory order for one week from Monday.
The municipality will be imposing the order from 4 am on July 26 till midnight of August 1 to help control the spread of COVID-19 infection in the area which has witnessed an increase in recent days. The municipality, while issuing a notice about the prohibitory order, said it was compelled to issue the order due to the increasing number of cases.
The municipality has urged people not to leave their homes unless it is really urgent and they need to take permission from concerned authorities to do so. It has also asked all businesses, industries, educational institutions and offices to remain closed.
The municipality has also directed banks and financial institutions to close their offices. Similarly, vehicles will also not be allowed to operate during the prohibitory order.
