Chief Minister of Province 1, Bhim Prasad Acharya, praised the role of Nepal Police for saving the country and people. He commended the role of the police institution in controlling crimes, maintaining peace and security and helping end racial discrimination. He was addressing an event organized here today by Province 1 police office, Rani Biratnagar.
Urging the whole police institute for showing their discipline and professionalism on duty, he said, "Police institution should be fair and transparent."
Similarly, Minister of State for Internal Affairs and Law of Province 1, Lila Ballav Adhikari, said that the provincial government was effortful to develop the provincial police with time. He also praised contribution of the police to the society despite being inadequately-equipped. He shed light on problem facing the police organization without the federal police act. The act has yet to be brought even after the provincial government authenticated the province police act, shared State Minister Adhikari.
Similarly, Province 1 Police Chief Arun Kumar BC praised Nepal Police for serving the country and people with dedication since their establishment and carrying out their duty in a dedicated and disciplined way despite being ill-equipped.
On the occasion, Inspector Yograj Khatiwada, who is posted at Chainpur in Sankhuwasabha district, and Inspector Rudra Bahadur Khadka who currently works for the province police office, Biratnagar, were honoured with the 'Sadhana Devi Excellence Police Award' for their excellent work in crime investigation. The award carries a purse of Rs 60,000 each.
Similarly, 36 children of police staffs who have scored excellent marks in the SEE were handed Rs 10,000 each.
