Ruling coalition voices objection to “influence” in Rabi Lamichhane investigation
The seven ruling parties have raised serious objections to the recent protests organized by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) regarding the arrest of RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane.
In a joint statement issued on Friday, the coalition—including the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML—expressed concerns about attempts to sway the ongoing investigation into Lamichhane’s case.
The parties emphasized that since an investigation is underway based on the unanimous report from the Parliamentary Special Committee of Inquiry into the Misappropriation of Cooperative Society Savings, 2081, it is crucial that no outside influences disrupt this process.
