The death toll in a bus accident in Ramechhap has reached 13. Nine people died on the spot and four others succumbed to their injuries at Dhulikhel Hospital.
According to DSP Hari Khatiwada of District Police Office, Kavre, four of the 24 died at Dhulikhel Hospital. Of the injured, 20 are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital and one at Shir Memorial Hospital, Banepa.
According to District Police Office Ramechhap Chief Raj Kumar Thing, the bus of Ba 3 Kha 8396 met with an accident at around 10 in the morning. Three critically injured people have been airlifted to Kathmandu.
The deceased have been identified as Samrita Tamang, Thula Tamang, Khadak Vik, Kamala Tamang, Kanchi Maya alias Shubhalakshmi, Sanju Alemgar and Sudip Gajmer of Kavre's Roshi village. The other two are yet to be identified.
