Reinstatement of teachers displaced during the conflict

The Government of Nepal will reinstate and compensate teachers and staff who have been removed in the past due to armed conflict and agitation.

 Today's meeting of the Council of Ministers has managed 586 teachers and staff, according to the Secretariat of the Minister of Education. Out of them, 233 teachers will be reinstated, 18 teachers will be appointed, 41 teachers will get service facilities and 284 teachers will get lump sum financial assistance. The decision was taken by the Council of Ministers today as per the report submitted by the task force formed under the chairmanship of former Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal Govinda Prasad Parajuli.

 According to the prevailing law, the permanent teachers who are yet to serve will be rehabilitated in the vacancies of approved posts. It is said to have happened.

 Among the teachers recommended for reinstatement, those who have reached the current age limit of 60 years will be given a maximum of seven years for the minimum retirement period on the basis of reaching the age of 60 years. In case of non-receipt of pension during the extension, the lump sum period will be extended for five years for the purpose of giving subsidy.

 It has been decided not to reinstate the persons holding public benefit post after displacement and in the case of such persons, it has been decided to add a maximum period of seven years for a minimum of not exceeding the period of their displacement on the basis of the date of first holding public benefit. It has been decided to employ 18 teachers who have permanent appointment letters but are not able to work in absentia by filling vacancies and calculating the service period from the date of attendance and compulsory retirement from the age limit or the date of death.
