KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has been arrested from his residence.

The security squad led by Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramesh Kumar Basnet apprehended him on Friday with the verdict of the Butwal Bench of High Court, Tulasipur, the Office confirmed. He was taken under control from Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu.

Earlier today, the Butwal Bench comprising judges Ramesh Dhakal and Swikriti Parajuli ordered for remanding Lamichhane to police custody for investigation into his alleged involvement in the fraud of cooperative funds.
