The Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) has submitted a report related to news disseminated by the RSS about the Republican Day-2080 BS to Minister of Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma today.
The report contains the record of the news bulletins released by the only State-owned news agency in the country marking the 16th Republican Day that falls on the 15th of the month of Jestha in Lunar calendar. This year the Day fell on May 29.
A team comprising of RSS's Executive Chairperson Dharmendra Jha, General Manager Siddha Raj Rai and Board Member Krishna Adhikari among others submitted the report to Minister Sharma at the latter's office.
Receiving the report, Minister Sharma highly commended the undertaking of the RSS and urged to give continuity to such works.
It may be noted that the RSS, also known as National News Agency, had organized Republic Day-centric events including disseminating news, articles, photos, audios and videos relating the proclamation of the Federal Democratic Republican governance system after abolishment of the 240-year-old monarchy in the country. It had also organized a photo exhibition to mark the occasion.
