Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Shanta Nepal Marasini has taken custody of eight-year-old Aarushi Dhakal of Mandandeupur Municipality-5 of Kavrepalanchok. He will provide assistance to the girl child for her schooling and other expenses.
Marasini, who is working as an election officer in Mandandeupur town in the local level election, said that he has taken custody of the girl child in terms of carrying social responsibility. He expressed the belief that if women were educated and capable, violence against them would be reduced and a peaceful and coexistent society would be built.
The newly elected mayor of the city Tok Bahadur Tamang, deputy mayor Bishnumani Nepal, ward chairman and other people's representatives expressed the view that the patronage of Marasini for the study of girls with the spirit of social service would inspire many.
