Due to the ongoing second wave of the coronavirus that has gripped the country the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) and Class 12 examinations have been postponed.

Baikuntha Prasad Aryal, member of the National Examinations Board and Director General at the Department of Education, said that the SEE and Class 12 examinations this year have been postponed due to the dire situation that the country is in because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A meeting of the National Examinations Board held on Monday had decided to postpone the examinations as a majority of the districts across the country were under prohibitory orders to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Earlier, the SEE was scheduled to start from May 27 and the Class 12 examination was scheduled to begin from June 9.
