Seven Nepalese have been arrested from City E Gaming Club Casino operated inside Hotel City Palace at Dhamboji Chowk in Nepalgunj of Banke district.
According to Madhusudan Neupane, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Banke, a police team from the District Police Office, Banke arrested them from the casino. According to him, the arrested are Manoj Vik, Bipin Singh Baduwal, Ganesh Sharma, Sulabh Karki, Vikram Chhetri, Akash Singh, and Mohit Shah.
Pranau Neupane said that they were arrested after receiving a complaint of threatening to enter the casino. Discussions are underway on whether to take legal action against those arrested. Nepalese other than foreigners have been barred from entering the casino, but casinos in Nepalgunj have allowed Nepalese to enter without any hindrance.
