Police arrested six persons involved in gambling offences from Krishnapur Municipality-4 on Tuesday evening. They were arrested from Tej Bahadur Saud’s shop in Mauwaphat.

One of the arrested has been identified as Tej Bahadur Saud (40), a local resident of the same municipality in Kanchanpur district, while the names of other five have not been disclosed.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Gulariya-based Area Police Office nabbed them. The police also sezied Rs 65,000 and three decks of cards from their possession.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
