The government has banned strikes on 25 services, including waste management. The Ministry of Home Affairs has made public the list of 25 services prohibited from going on strike using the right given by sub-section 1 of section 3 of the Essential Services Operation Act 2014. 

Accordingly, it has been prohibited to go on strike in garbage collection, transportation, processing, disposal, site construction, infrastructure construction and collection site and services related to the management sector.
