The work of digging a 560 meter tunnel towards the powerhouse of the Tanahun hydropower project has been completed. A total of 1,480 meters long tunnel has to be dug.

The tunnel digging work of the power plant started in August 2020.

Sinohydro Company has completed digging a 437.1 meter long tunnel. The construction work of 280.85 meters long main access tunnel and 314 meters long access tunnel to the dam site has also been completed.
