The meeting of the House of Representatives, which has not been held for the past few days, could not be held today. The Parliament meeting was not held because no agreement could be reached in the meeting called by Speaker Debraj Ghimire. The meeting called by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal also ended without any agreement.
UML has been demanding to form a high-level investigation committee on gold smuggling, but the government has not agreed to form a committee. Now the meeting has been called for Tuesday, August 22.
