Traffic situation in Kathmandu valley today

There is a situation where vehicles have to stop for some time during traffic management at the main intersections of Kathmandu Valley. Especially at Koteshwor, New Baneshwor, Maitighar, Thapathali, Tripureshwor, Kaiser Mahal, Mitrapark, Chabahil, and Narayan Gopal Chowk, vehicles have to stop during traffic management.

Due to the festival going on at Sunakothi in Lalitpur, the vehicles have been diverted from various places. Large vehicles going from Satdobato via Sunakothi to Chapagaon have been diverted from Chapagaon and come via Hattivan and Khumaltar roads. Due to the demolition of the main road for the construction of flyover at Gwarko Chowk in Lalitpur, vehicles are being driven through the service lane on the Gwarko-Satdobato road section.

As the old pitch is being repaired in the service lane from Khasi Bazar to Balkhu in Kalanki, Kathmandu, vehicles are being operated from the main road.
