TU prepares to give a week off during elections

Tribhuvan University has prepared to give a week off during the election. Shivlal Bhusal, Dean of the university, informed that it had been suggested to adjust the winter vacation during the time of the state and House of Representatives elections to be held on November 20th. Preparations are hence being made accordingly.

Bhusal says that giving a week off would not only make it easier for students who need to travel to cast votes but for colleges that will be used as polling stations.

He said, "As there are polling centers on the campuses, we are preparing to take a week off. According to him, although it has not been decided when the leave will begin, it is possible that it will be from November 17th to 22nd.

Bhusal said that although the students requested to give winter vacation during the election period, the professors suggested not to provide a long vacation during then, they are preparing to give a one-week long winter vacation during the election.
