Two arrested with 23.35 grams of heroin in Kanchanpur

Police arrested two persons with 23.35 grams of heroin from Bankhet of Bheemdutt Municipality-5 in Kanchanpur district.

The arrested have been identified as Mohan Pant (19) and Ram Bahadur Saud (28), both local residents of the same municipality in the district.

They were riding on a motorcycle with registration number MA 2 PA 9866. Area Ward Police Office deployed from Mahendranagar nabbed the duo with the substances during a routine vehicle check.

Similarly, a man was arrested in possession of 5.5 kg of marijuana from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan-16 in Kailali district on Sunday afternoon.

The arrested has been identified as Maitu Ram Dagoura (50), a local resident of the same municipality.

He had been hiding the marijuana in his house. Acting on a tip-off, Behadababa-based Temporary Police Post Office nabbed him with the substances while searching his house.

Meanwhile, police on Sunday arrested two persons with controlled drugs from Pipal Chautara of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan in Makawanpur district.

One of the arrested has been identified as Rabin BK (23), a local resident of Jutpani of Kalika Municipality-1 in Chitwan district while the name of the other person has not been disclosed. They had 1,496 tablets of Nitravet in their possession.

They were riding on a motorcycle with registration number BA 95 PA 7932 when a joint team of security personnel deployed from the Pashupatinagar-based Area Police Office and Ratomato-based Police Office nabbed them with the controlled substance during a routine vehicle check.

Further investigation into the cases is being carried out, informed the police.
