Two people were injured today when a cooking gas cylinder exploded. The injured are 50-year-old Kusum KC from Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city-16 Lalahura and Ashish Khanal, 29-year-old resident of Chitwan district Bharatpur metropolitan city-5 and currently living in Tulsipur-16, according to the area police office Tulsipur.
When a gas cylinder exploded while cooking at an agricultural seed production company, KC's lower waist was burnt, while Khanal's both arms and legs were burnt, Tulsipur District Police Office Chief and Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushparaj Malla informed.
After general treatment at Rapti Regional Hospital, Tulsipur, both of them have been sent to Nepalgunj for further treatment. Among the injured, the condition of Kusum is critical, while Ashish's condition is moderate, police said.
