General Secretary of the CPN (UML) Shankar Pokharel has been infected with COVID-19 today.

Following his infection, he has canceled all the political programs which he had scheduled.

Earlier this month, the chairman of CPN-Maoists, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, had also been tested positive. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was in home isolation for a couple of days after meeting Dahal but he was tested negative.
